Artis Home Gallerie

AboutThe Client

Artis Home Gallerie, started in 1928, spent the first 25 years of its existence at 12th Street & Grand Avenue (1201 Grand). In 1953, CJ Artis Furniture moved out west to 2507 Ingersoll Avenue and the store was renamed Artis Furniture Company. The company policy was to provide the best product at a fair price with exceptional service. The company spent 45 years at the 2507 Ingersoll location before the bold decision was made to move west to 100th Street. In December of 1998, the new building opened for business and proved fruitful until the housing crisis crippled the business. In 2009 the 100th street location closed.

However, the Artis family wouldn’t let a little crisis get in the way of carrying on CJ’s legacy, so a new generation of Artis stepped up and continued the legacy by opening a new location in the West Glen Town Center off of Mills Civic Parkway. At that time the logo and tag line was updated. We loved the interior showroom space at West Glen, but unfortunately the development went into bankruptcy, and we found ourselves looking for a more dependable location.  So we went back to 100th street, 2655 100TH Street.

About this project

The goal of the Artis Home Gallerie website was to bring it into the modern era, with a fresh look and responsive design. Images are important part of the design, and creating the site to be easily updated was important.
