The Client
Horn’s Ferry Hideaway is a pair of luxury vacation rental cabins set in seclusion for the perfect getaway at Lake Red Rock, Iowa’s largest lake. Nestled between a wooded 38-acre eagle refuge and a federally managed prairie and savanna refuge, nature abounds around the cabins, with plenty of opportunities to actively participate or sit back and enjoy it from the screened-in porch. Each cabin offers all the amenities of home with a super comfortable king sized bed, sleeper sofa, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen including all pots/pans/utensils needed, extra-large Jacuzzi tub for two, satellite TV, and much more.
About this project
The Horn’s Ferry site needed to be brought up-to-date, which included making the website work on mobile devices and taking advantage of the advances in technology that had occurred since the site was first built. A more dynamic reservation request process and the ability to show available dates solved some of the functionality problems of the old website. A new design was also needed, to better reflect the sense of rustic luxury the cabins offer.
